Babar Azam penned a special farewell note to his franchise, Rangpur Riders, in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024. He is leaving the team to play for Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024. Babar, along with other players, was given NOC until February 6 by PCB.

Babar performed well for his BPL team, scoring 252 runs at an average of 50.20 with 2 half-centuries. He expressed gratitude to the team and urged them to win the tournament.
