Ishan Kishan was mighty pleased with Rinku Singh for keeping his cool under pressure against Australia in the first T20I of the series. The Men in Blue lost a couple of wickets in the death overs, which allowed Australia to comeback into the game.

However, Rinku played smartly to take India to a two-wicket win. He scored an unbeaten 22 runs off 14 balls, laced with 4 fours.

“Rinku played well for us and showed that he is ready to play a long innings for India. He was really impressive,” Ishan Kishan told Ravi Shastri.

Chasing 209 runs in 20 overs, captain Suryakumar Yadav accumulated 80 runs off 42 balls, including 9 fours and 4 sixes. He stitched a match-winning stand with Ishan, who struck 58 runs off 39 balls. He slammed 5 sixes and 2 fours.

Josh Inglis’ sensational ton was the highlight of the game. His 110 runs came off 50 balls, with the help of 11 fours and 9 sixes. Steve Smith (52) was also impressive with the bat.
