DOMESTIC CRICKET


Arzan made his List A debut for Gujarat in 2017–18 Vijay Hazare Trophy on February 11, 2018, and was an instant hit.  He took two key wickets against Rajasthan in his debut game.

He made his First-Class debut against Baroda in 2018–19 Ranji Trophy on November 1, 2018. He shot to fame with a five-wicket haul against Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium in that season.

Notably, Arzan was Gujarat’s highest wicket-taker in 2019-20 Ranji Trophy. The left-arm pacer accumulated 41 wickets at an average of 18.36, including a 10-wicket haul against Punjab.

There was no Ranji Trophy in the 2020-21 season but the youngster had a successful outing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, scalping 19 wickets for Gujarat in just 7 games, at an economy rate of 4.32.

Arzan made his T20 debut in the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Tamil Nadu.

STANDBY PLAYER IN INDIA’S TEST SQUAD


Earlier this month, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a 20-member Indian squad for the upcoming final of the inaugural World Test Championship and a five-match Test series against England.

Notably, Arzan Nagwaswalla was named as a standby player in India’s Test squad alongside three other players Avesh Khan, Prasidh Krishna and Abhimanyu Easwaran.
