The ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League has not been fruitful for Yuvraj Singh , finding hard to keep going for his home based franchise Kings XI Punjab. Coming into bat with his side struggling against Delhi Daredevils, he managed just 14 runs off 17 balls, a sharp fall from his set standard.

It is not for the first time, he has failed to meet the expectations in the slam bang tournament. Earlier, whenever he got the chance, Yuvraj was among the non-performers. Kings were banking upon him big time before the start of the league and were hoping to see Yuvi of old, but it looks like his time is over, and he is on the verge of being axed from the cash rich tournament.

His national career is already heading towards an end with selectors refusing to look at him, considering the availability of better options. It is not that he has not been trusted or given chances, but the lack of effort and form has undone him, and now only a miracle can save him from being lost into oblivion.

For Yuvraj, returning to Kings XI Punjab could have been a blessing in disguise as he is aware of wicket and condition at Mohali but the Indian southpaw has turned out to be a mere spectator in terms of runs and contribution for KXIP.
