S Sreesanth has revealed that he and veteran Indian spinner, Harbhajan Singh had dinner together after the infamous ‘slapgate’ incident that took place in the first edition of the Indian Premier League in 2008.

“We had sorted out things because of Sachin Tendulkar. He had said that you guys play for the same national team and I said, I will go and meet Bhajji. We met and had dinner on the same night but the issue was blown out of proportion by media,” said Sreesanth.

The Kerala bowler further revealed that Harbhajan had apologized to him in front of the investigating committee.

“Bhajji said sorry in front of Nanavati sir and I am literally crying and begging to forgive my national teammate as we are going to play together. I don’t want any action against Bhajji pa because he is a match-winner.

I want to win matches with him because I consider him as my brother. There is a video recording of the meeting. I don’t know whether they will give it to you or not. You can ask Nanavati sir,” he added.

Sreesanth played 27 Tests, 53 ODIs and 10 T20Is for India. His last appearance for the team came in 2011.
