In the last night thrilling contest between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders, AB de Villiers set the stage on fire with his talismanic knock of 73 runs in 33 deliveries. While most of the batsmen were finding it hard to get going in the game, the South African legend took the rivals to cleaners with his effortless batting display and helped his side in shifting the momentum.

Defending the target of 195 runs, RCB bowlers came out with all guns blazing and quickly dismantled KKR’s batting line-up at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Owing to their extraordinary display, RCB outclassed the two-time title champions in all three departments and sealed the game with the 82-run win.

RCB captain Virat Kohli has heaped praise on Mr. 360 for his remarkable innings against KKR and even credited him for the much-needed victory.

“At the toss the pitch didn't have the usual Sharjah sheen. Knew the wicket was going to get slower and slower. Barring one superhuman, everyone struggled on that pitch," the 31-year-old batsman said in a post-match presentation.

The Bangalore-based franchise recently took to its official Twitter handle to share the glimpses of RCB’s dressing room after the comprehensive win.

“A lot of smiles, believe in the process, work harder, feet on the ground, Alien de Villiers… Some of the takeaways from the dressing room talk after the game against KKR,” RCB wrote in a caption.
