Trent Boult bowled exceptionally well in the Test series against India. After missing the T20Is and ODIs, he made a memorable comeback. After the completion of the second Test match against the visitors, he was seen talking to his fans. In a video, Boult can be seen giving autographs to cricket fanatics. One of the fans requested him to give his autograph on the onion and the star cricketer fulfilled his wish.
Boult ended up being the second-highest wicket-taker (11) after Tim Southee (14). Boult claimed two-four-fers and also contributed lower down the order with the bat. Boult scored 38 runs in the Wellington Test.
Earlier, Boult had expressed his satisfaction after limiting Virat Kohli’s scores in the Test series.
“He (Kohli) is one of the best players in the world, no doubt about that. Obviously, he is a big player for them and we just tried to put enough pressure on him, keep him quiet and soak up those boundary balls, and it was nice to see him make a few errors. We were lucky to get two that lined up and hit him on the pads nicely and it was a good feeling to see the back of him,” Boult was quoted as saying by India Today.
“Probably, they are used to playing on low and slow pitches in India and it took time for them to get adjusted. Just like if I bowl in India, it will be foreign conditions for me,” Boult added.
