Former Indian batsman Wasim Jaffer has named his all-time favorite ODI team. While many experienced overseas players were included in the squad, four Indian stars also made it to the list. The 42-year-old picked Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma as the openers.
The legendary West Indian player Vivian Richards has earned the third spot in Jaffer’s playing XI. Virat Kohli was given the number four position.
On the other hand, South African veteran AB de Villiers and English all-rounder Ben Stokes are part of the side.
When it comes to captaining the squad, Wasim selected the former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni, for the role and gave him the wicket-keeping spot too. He then decided to include former Pakistani speedster Wasim Akram, former West Indies bowler Joel Garner, and former Australian pacer Glen McGrath in the bowling unit. Saqlain Mushtaq and Shane Warne also made it to the team.
Notably, one of the most successful captains of Australia, Ricky Ponting was named as the 12th man in Jaffer’s team which came as a big surprise for cricket fanatics.
