Australian cricketer Steve Smith and Indian captain Virat Kohli are the two finest batsmen in world cricket at the moment. Both of them are considered to be the fiercest competitors on the field. A lot has been said and written on these two.

The 31-year-old Aussie was recently engaged in a Q&A session with fans on Instagram and a user asked him to name the best ODI batsman in the world. Replying to the fan’s question, Smith said “Virat Kohli at the moment.”

Kohli is currently leading the batting charts in ODI format with 11867 runs at an average of 59.34.

AB de Villiers is a freak – Steve Smith

When Smith was asked to describe Virat Kohli’s RCB teammate AB de Villiers in one word, he said that the South African legend is a “freak”.

Smith, who will be playing for Rajasthan Royals in this year’s IPL, also showered praise on KL Rahul and Sanju Samson. He termed the KXIP captain as a “gun” and the 25-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman as “talented”.

Smith is currently gearing up to play three-match ODI series against England, starting from September 11. Following the series, he will join the RR squad in UAE for IPL 2020, which is slated to start from September 19.

Steve Smith-led Rajasthan Royals will begin their IPL campaign against three-time title champions Chennai Super Kings on September 22 in Sharjah.
