Bollywood star Suniel Shetty is a die-hard cricket fan. The actor who likes playing cricket has named his Indian cricket team squad for the T20 World Cup in Australia.
Speaking to Aakash Chopra, he revealed his squad for the upcoming event. KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma will open for India.
While Rohit Sharma is one of the best players in T20 internationals, KL Rahul was in the exceptional form before the outbreak of the coronavirus.
While Virat Kohli will lead the side, Shreyas Iyer, and former India captain MS Dhoni will bat in the middle order.
“As far as Pant goes, supremely talented player but I think Pant needs to lose 4-5 kilos of weight. It’s a positive thing that I mean to say, it’s not that I’m the god of cricket or the understanding of cricket, but as far as wellness and fitness goes one could see the difference in movement,” said Suniel.
Suniel went with Hardik Pandya, Vijay Shankar and Ravindra Jadeja as far as all-rounders are concerned.
He stated that Jadeja is not a ‘bits and pieces’ player. “No, I don’t think he (Jadeja) is a ‘bits-n-pieces’ player because I count the enthusiasm of a player as well. It helps to gain confidence. Like Virat, his aggression and passion have changed the mindset of youngsters,” added Suniel.
Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav are the two spin twins in the squad.
Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Deepak Chahar, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will take care of the pace department.
