Australian all-rounder is doubtful for the series decider against Men in Blue in Delhi after he sustained a small fracture to his thumb during his team’s 32 runs victory in the third ODI in Ranchi.

He didn’t play in the fourth ODI in Mohali, which Australia won by four wickets courtesy Ashton Turner’s sublime Knock of 84.

Teammate Peter Handscomb said they will not rush with their star all-rounder.

“He’ll look to play at some stage but it’s just pain management with him,” Handscomb said.

“When it’s your bottom-hand thumb it makes it hard to hold the bat.

“We’ve just got to wait and see with him.”

Stoinis was awarded with men ODI player of the Year award after his magnificent run of form in international cricket.
