Pakistan skipper, Sarfaraz Ahmed has been trolled immensely ever since Pakistan lost the game against India in the ongoing World Cup. But one fan overstepped the line of decency when he body shamed Sarfaraz and called him fat while he was shopping in a mall. The video of the same had gone viral with everyone slamming the fan, who later apologized for his indecent behavior.

Sarfaraz Ahmed finally opened up on the behavior of the fan. He said, “I can’t say anything on this. It’s not in our hands to control what people say about us. Winning and losing is part of the game and it’s not that we are the first team to have lost a match; previous teams also have faced defeats.

“Had earlier teams faced the kind of criticism that we are facing, they would have realised how much these things hurt us. Now, there is social media. People write, comment and say whatever they like. These incidents affect the psychology of the players,” he added.

Pakistan have five points after six games. The Men in Green will need to win their remaining games against New Zealand, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh and also need other equations to go in their favor if they have to qualify for the semi-finals.
