The combination of Sourav Ganguly and Ricky Ponting has done wonders for Delhi Capitals in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. Capitals have already qualified for the playoffs after winning eight matches in the tournament.
When asked about his chemistry with Ponting, Ganguly said: “We are great friends. There was a point in time when we were adversaries on the pitch, but over the years our friendship has grown. He has done some great work with the boys.”
The former Aussie skipper has been quite successful in the coaching department and Sourav feels he can manage Team India one day if he is ready to stay away from home for 8-9 months.
“That you have to ask him, if he is ready to stay away from home for 8-9 months in a year. But yes, if you talk about credentials, there is no doubt he can be a great candidate,” he added.
