The Bangladeshi cricket team is all set to visit Pakistan yet again for the remainder of their tour, comprising of the second Test and a one-off ODI. Surprisingly, the star player of the team, Mushfiqur Rahim has refused to travel with his teammates to the terror-hitting nation due to security reasons.
However, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan Papon requested Rahim to change his stance and give a nod to traveling to Pakistan. But the 32-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman made it clear that he will stick to his words and won’t visit the country. Now, the Pakistani pacer Hasan Ali has made a special request to the Bangladeshi player to come and play in Pakistan.
Ali, who is currently playing for Peshawar Zalmi in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL), recently stated in a post-match conference, “[Carlos] Brathwaite asked me today why Mushfiqur Rahim is not coming to Pakistan. I told him that I am not sure but I do think he should come as his team is also coming here. Brathwaite’s view was that he should come to Pakistan as it’s a safe country.”
Ali was on fire in his side’s recent match against Islamabad United at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. He scalped two crucial wickets while conceding 36 runs in his four overs.
