Pakistan’s young sensation, Naseem Shah rocked the cricket world by becoming the youngest (16 years, 359 days) bowler to claim a Test hat-trick. He recently revealed the names of three cricketers whose wickets he would like to pick as his dream hat trick.
Naseem mentioned England’s Test skipper, Joe Root, Team India’s opener Rohit Sharma and Australia’s Mr. Dependable, Steve Smith as his three dream scalps. During an interaction with Cricingif, Naseem Shah said, “Joe Root, Rohit Sharma, and Steve Smith. I would try and get them out.”
“Rohit Sharma is an amazing batsman with brilliant records and he hooks and pulls better. To get someone like him out would be great. Steve Smith’s technique is bizarre, bowlers couldn’t really predict his weakness and strength, and therefore getting him out would be an accomplishment. Joe Root is one of the better batsmen in Test cricket. He has a fine technique, getting him out would be a nice feeling,” Shah added.
Naseem could next be seen plying his trade for the Men in Green against England in August-September. The Pakistan government has confirmed its team tour to the British shores amid the spread of the coronavirus. The tour includes a three-match Test series followed by an equal number of T20Is.
