Harmanpreet Kaur smashed stumps after getting out

The decisive third and final ODI between India women and Bangladesh Women has reached its business end, as the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side require 43 runs to win the last ten overs with six wickets in hand.

Bangladesh, batting first, put 225 runs on the board, courtesy of Fargana Hoque’s century. In reply, Smriti Mandhana’s fifty set up the platform, while Harleen Deol’s unbeaten 77 (106) is turning into a match-winning knock.

However, skipper Kaur failed to perform with the bat and was adjudged LBW out when she was on 14 (21). On the fourth ball of the 34th over, Kaur misjudged the sweep shot off Nahida Akter’s bowling, and the ball hit on her pad and went straight to the slip fielder. The Bangladeshi players appealed for both LBW and caught-behind, which is when the umpire raised his finger quickly, which left Harmanpreet angry.

After being given out, Kaur hogged the internet for her unruly behaviour as she hit the stumps with her bat and also said a few words to the umpire while she walked back to the pavilion. Here is the video of the incident.

India are looking comfortable in the match and are likely to win the series, but Kaur would face a heavy fine from the match referees.
