Earlier, Babar Azam showed his faith in Kohli, and now Rashid Latif has supported him.

Virat Kohli is in the news for his flop show with the bat. He is one of the greatest batters of his generation but the last few years haven’t been kind to him. Apart from his century drought, the right-handed batsman is also finding hard to score fifties across formats.

Former Indian captain Kapil Dev has questioned his place in the Indian T20I squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia, which surprised Usman Khawaja.

He has mocked Kapil for his remark. The legendary cricketer had said that Virat’s place in the squad is not confirmed and the management should give chances to players, who are in form.

His comment was not taken lightly by Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma, who slammed the 1983 World Cup winning captain.

Meanwhile, ICC posted a snippet of the Kapil’s comment on the 33-year-old player, which attracted a response from Australia’s Usman Khawaja. “Averages 50 at almost 140. Good call. Australia Agrees.”

Virat has done exceptionally well against Australia in the shortest format of the game. He has scored 718 runs, his highest against any opponent at an average of 59.83. Out of those 718 runs, 451 came in Australia, the venue of this year’s ICC T20 World Cup.
