India outclassed Australia in the first ODI to lead the three-match series 1-0. Australia, batting first, started positively, but Mohammed Shami changed the course of the game in the middle overs courtesy of his three-wicket haul.
Shami took the joint-most wickets for India yesterday, along with Mohammed Siraj, who also registered a three-wicket haul. While Shami hogged the internet for his peach of a delivery to get Cameron Green out, Siraj was in the news for again copying Cristiano Ronaldo’s celebration.
There is no hiding that Siraj is a big Ronaldo fan and has copied the Portugeese’s ‘Siuu’ and ‘Ice cold’ celebrations on several occasions.
After yesterday’s game, Shami and Siraj engaged in a conversation, where the latter got reminded of his celebration after he clean-bowled Travis Head. Notably, Siraj did the famous ‘siuu’ celebration by jumping high in the air.
“Siraj, I have a question for you, please tell us the secret behind your celebration, ” Shami asked Siraj.
“I am a fan of Ronaldo and follow his celebration whenever I bowl a batter out, “Siraj replied to Shami.
Shami, concerned for Siraj, seeing so many injuries after such celebrations, advised Siraj not to copy such celebrations.
“I want to give you some advice, It is good to be a fan of someone. But as a fast bowler, keep yourself away from such jumps.”
