Virat Kohli was disappointed after India lost the World Cup final. Australia were a better team and won the big match by 6 wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Kohli scored 765 runs, the highest, and also won the Player of the Tournament award. He gifted his jersey to all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, who plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The two met after the final and hugged each other.
Although Kohli scored a fifty, India couldn’t go past 240 runs. He was dismissed by Pat Cummins, leaving the host nation in trouble.
Travis Head (134 runs) and Marnus Labuschagne (58 not out) made the chase look easy.
