Rohit Sharma ICC World Cup 2023
He said India have a chance to win the ICC World Cup 2023 in India.

Rohit Sharma has given a major hint about India’s playing XI for the World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia at The Oval. Speaking at a press conference, Sharma stated that the team would be decided on the playing XI on the morning of Day 1.

The excitement among fans is soaring as India aim to clinch an ICC title, having not won one since the Champions Trophy in 2013. Although they reached the WTC final in the previous cycle, they fell short against New Zealand. Sharma expressed his responsibility to lead Indian cricket forward and win ICC championships for the country.

The composition of India’s playing XI remains uncertain. Decisions need to be made regarding the inclusion of either Ishan Kishan or KS Bharat, as well as whether to play both Ashwin and Jadeja or opt for an additional seamer.

Sharma therefore emphasized that all 15 players should be prepared, with the final XI to be determined just before the match. However, his description of The Oval pitch as a pacers’ strip strongly suggests the possibility of India fielding four seamers, potentially leaving out either Ashwin or Jadeja.

When asked about Ashwin’s chances of playing, he revealed that the decision would be made on the day of the match. He also expressed confidence in Shubman Gill, stating that the young player does not require any advice. Gill’s impressive performances in the IPL and his self-assured approach make him a key asset for Team India.

As the WTC final approaches, fans eagerly await the final selection and hope for a triumphant outcome for the Indian cricket team.
