Veteran India wicketkeeper-batsman Robin Uthappa has found a new way to beat the boredom in the COVID-19 lockdown. The 35-year-old recently took to his official Instagram handle and posted a mirror selfie with his wife Sheethal.
Captioning the photo, Robin wrote, “Just us Uthappas beating the lockdowns.”
Uthappa also urged the countrymen to stay at home to curb the spread of the deadly virus by using the hashtag #stayhomestaysafe.
Here’s see Robin Uthappa’s latest post
Uthappa was last seen in action during the quarterfinal of 2020-21 Vijay Hazare Trophy between Karnataka and Kerala. He managed to score just 2 runs off 9 balls as his state team, Kerala, lost the game by 80 runs.
After the conclusion of the domestic one-day tournament, Uthappa joined the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) camp for the 14th edition of Indian Premier League.
The three-time champions roped in Uthappa from Rajasthan Royals in a cash deal ahead of the IPL 2021 auction in Chennai.
However, the experienced batsman did not feature in CSK’s playing XI for any match in the IPL 2021 before it was suspended.
Notably, the remainder of the IPL 2021 is all set to resume in September-October as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to shift the marquee tournament to the United Arab Emirates.
