Former India player Mohammad Kaif is convinced that Prithvi Shaw will play the third and final T20I against New Zealand. He made the statement after Shubman Gill, and Ishan failed in the second consecutive game of the series.
Shubman scored 11, while Kishan managed 19 in Lucknow as the Men in Blue won the game on the 5th ball of the last over.
Prithvi Shaw, who was recalled after a long time, has been made to warm the bench by Rahul Dravid and Hardik Pandya.
Kaif wants the management to consider Shaw at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
“Prithvi Shaw can play an important role as he likes to attack the bowlers from the first ball of his innings. India can push Ishan Kishan to the number 3 slot and drop Rahul Tripathi, who has been ordinary so far,” he said.
