Australian captain Pat Cummins will return home due to family matter. He will travel to Sydney before returning to India before the third Test in Indore.
India retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy after winning the second Test by 6 wickets in Delhi.
Australian leg-spinner Mitchell Swepson returned home for the birth of his first child and was replaced by Matthew Kuhnemann.
Swepson will rejoin the squad ahead of the Indore Test. Meanwhile, Australia were bowled out for 113 runs in the second innings.
“We were ahead in the game but we slipped. There will be a short review before the next game. I think they bowled beautifully,” said Pat Cummins.
