Danish Kaneria deepak chahar
He opined that Younis should apologise to all members of the Hindu community after hurting the sentiments of many fans.

Former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria has heaped praise on Deepak Chahar for his match-winning performance in the second ODI between India and Sri Lanka in Colombo.

The 28-year-old played an unbeaten knock of 69 runs off 82 balls and helped India to chase down a target of 276 runs.

Chahar came out to bat when the Indian team was reeling at 193 for seven. However, he turned the match in his side’s favour with his explosive batting.

With the ball, Chahar took two wickets in the form of Dhananjaya de Silva and Wanindu Hasaranga while conceding 53 runs in his 8-over spell.

After India registered a three-wicket win against the hosts, Deepak was also named ‘Man of the Match’ for his brilliant all-round show.

Impressed with Chahar’s batting heroics, Kaneria asserted that Pakistani players should learn something from him.

Speaking on his official Youtube channel, Kaneria said, “Full credit to Deepak Chahar. Pakistan’s batsmen should learn from him. Deepak Chahar took the game till the very end. He stood at the wicket, rotated the strike smartly, and picked up the odd boundary here and there.

“Chahar had that key partnership with Bhuvneshwar Kumar at the end. Thanks to Chahar and Kumar, India won the series and now we could see some changes in the final ODI,” the 40-year-old added.

India and Sri Lanka will next face each other in the third and final ODI of the ongoing series in Colombo on July 23.
