AB de Villiers reveals he struggled with anxiety issues

Rain played a spoilsport in the IPL 16 final between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium on May 28. Because of the heavy downpour, the match got shifted to Monday, May 29.

While the fans were waiting for the rain to stop, the IPL presenters kept the fans entertained, as the group of former cricketers like AB de Villiers, Anil Kumble, Scott Styris and others played a segment, where they revealed the players whom they were impressed by the most.

While most of the experts went ahead with Shubman Gill, who has been sensational and became the second Indian after Virat Kohli to breach the 800 runs mark in an IPL season, AB de Villiers had a different name in his mind.

The former South Africa batter rated Yashasvi Jaiswal as the player who impressed him the most. Notably, the young Royal amassed 625 runs this season and was the highest run-getter for his side, which included a century.

“Yashasvi Jaiswal has impressed me the most and has been the best young batter by a long margin. He is young and has all the shots. Shubman is a bit older, but Jaiswal is just 21 and has a long way to go.”
