Suresh Raina has opined on Mumbai Indians’ signings in the Indian Premier 2023 auction.
The former CSK player thinks Cameron Green is the perfect replacement for retired Kieron Pollard.
The former West Indies all-rounder retired from the tournament just before the recently held auction.
Instead of giving his name for the auction process, Pollard decided to join the five-time champions as a batting coach.
The legendary player was paid tributes by former and current teammates for his contribution in Mumbai’s success.
Raina made a big prediction about Green, who is one of the destructive all-rounders in T20 format. He has played a couple of match-winning knocks for Australia.
The right-handed batter was bought for INR 17.50 crore, which made him the second most expensive player in the history of IPL.
“Cameron Green is a perfect replacement for Kieron Pollard. Wankhede will lit up with his fireworks,” he said.
