Ramiz Raja has lauded Team India for defeating Australia by 6 wickets in the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Delhi. The former player said that India winning in three days reminded him of Australia thumping the sub-continent teams in their backyard.
He said that Australians have been horrible against spinners since they lost 16 wickets to spinners in the recently concluded game.
Ravindra Jadeja scalped seven wickets in the second innings while Ravichandran Ashwin took three. The visitors were bowled out for 113.
“Australia are getting the taste of their own medicine. They used to finished the Asian teams in three days in Perth or Brisbane. Australians are not prepared when it comes to playing good cricket in India,” he said.
The former chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board said that Axar Patel’s 115-run partnership with Ashwin was the turning point of the game.
“Axar Patel scored 70 runs and shared a match-winning partnership with Ravichandran Ashwin. The Australians were not ready and their performance against the spinners was horrible.”
