India will play against Pakistan in the campaign opener of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

India and Pakistan will meet for the second time in the ongoing Asia Cup on September 4. The Men in Blue won the first clash by 5 wickets at the Dubai International Stadium. While Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the Asia Cup 2022, Pakistan are without Shahnawaz Dahani for today’s game.

Former Pakistan cricketer Sikander Bakht mocked Team India ahead of the blockbuster match in Dubai.

India have played both of their group games in Dubai while Pakistan took on Hong Kong in Sharjah.

Bakht asked Kapil Dev, Mohammed Azharuddin, and Atul Wassan if India are scared of playing in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.

“Why India doesn’t play in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi? Are they scared of these venues? The draws had already been out,” Bakht said on GEO Super.

“India were supposed to play Pakistan in Sharjah but the venue was changed. We have been asked this question by our people, so I thought I would ask the same to you,” he had further added.

While Azhar and Kapil kept mum, Atul Wassan hilariously said that Sharjah had been “bad” for the Indian team in the past.
