India, England, New Zealand, Australia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan have qualified for the 2023 ODI World Cup. Another team will be added to the list, with West Indies leading the race.

South Africa’s refusal to play the ODIs in Australia for the sake of the new T20 league have almost ended their chances of direct qualification. They will have to go through qualifiers to play in the global tournament in India.

England won the World Cup in 2019 and will look to defend their title in the sub-continent country.

On the other hand, the host India last won the event in 2011, which was played in Asia. The Men in Blue are geared to add another 50-over title in their cabinet.

It is a big achievement for Afghanistan to book its place in the prestigious tournament.
