The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the Men’s T20I Team of the Year 2022, with three Indians making it to the list.
Jos Buttler is the wicket-keeper and captain of the team. He accumulated 462 runs at a strike rate of 160.41. Mohammad Rizwan will open the innings with the right-handed batter. Rizwan amassed 996 runs in the year.
Virat Kohli was at his best and scored his maiden hundred in the shortest format. He was the highest run-scorer in the ICC T20 World Cup. The former India captain struck 276 runs in five games.
Suryakumar Yadav was the best batter in the slam-bang version. He smashed more than 1000 runs in a calendar year, including two hundreds and nine half-centuries.
Glenn Phillips (716 runs in 21 matches), Sikandar Raza (735 runs and 25 wickets) and Hardik Pandya ( 607 runs, 20 wickets) are part of the squad.
Sam Curran picked up 13 wickets from 6 matches in the ICC T20 World Cup. Wanindu Hasaranga took 9 wickets in 6 games at the Asia Cup 2022 and 15 scalps in eight contests at the T20 World Cup.
Haris Rauf (31 wickets) and Josh Little (39 wickets) have been included.
