Senior fast bowler of the Australia women’s team Megan Schutt has refuted Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur’s claim that the Women in Yellow were behind at one point in the ICC T20 World Cup semi-final in Cape Town on Thursday, February 23.

Chasing 173 runs, the Women in Blue surged ahead with an impressive partnership between Harmanpreet and Jemimah Rodrigues.

The two added 69 runs for the fourth wicket before the Aussies staged a comeback with the help of a few wickets.

After the game, Kaur said India were ahead of its rivals.

“The last five overs were crucial. We got a couple of wickets that put pressure on them. Harman said our body language was down. I’ll call bullshit on that,” said Megan Schutt.

“We were calm and didn’t panic. We don’t take out on each other if there is a mistake. We play as a team. We are a team first and getting angry will not help. That was a collective effort.”
