Hardik Pandya vs SL 2nd T20I
He further said that Hardik made a mistake by giving just two overs to Arshdeep Singh.

Former India batter Wasim Jaffer has said that Hardik Pandya should have bowled instead of Shivam Mavi in the death over. The Men in Blue succumbed to a 16-run loss at the hands of Sri Lanka in the second T20I.

With the win, the visitors have leveled the three-match series 1-1, with the hosts winning the first contest by a margin of 2 runs in Mumbai. Speaking with ESPNcricinfo, Jaffer said he expected Pandya to roll his arm over, not Mavi, who was very expensive and is not known for bowling in the death overs.

“I expected Hardik to bowl instead of Mavi in the death. Mavi is not a death bowler. Hardik had that experience. I though he would have bolwed the last over of the Sri Lanka’s innings,” said Jaffer.

He further said that Hardik made a mistake by giving just two overs to Arshdeep Singh.

“I was surprised as Arshdeep has been impactful in the last overs. He should have bowled in the middle and death overs,” Jaffer added.

The 44-year-old added that Arshdeep bowling five no-balls was not acceptable.
