The upcoming T20 World Cup will be played in October and November. All the teams will be fighting for the coveted trophy. Former India cricketer and the winner of the T20 World Cup in 2007, Gautam Gambhir has predicted the four semifinalists of the competition.
According to Gambhir, India, New Zealand, England, and the West Indies will qualify for the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup.
While West Indies won the T20 World Cup in 2016, England were the runners-up. West Indies are the two-time champions, while India and England have been victorious once.
New Zealand are still waiting for the maiden trophy.
Gambhir also spoke about the much-awaited contest between India and Pakistan. He feels India have an edge over its arch-rivals and the conditions in the UAE will suit the Men in Blue.
Indian players will be competing in the Indian Premier League ahead of the world event.
