Babar Azam has dominated world cricket in the past half a decade and often gets compared to Virat Kohli. The fan base of the two legendary players is always fighting with each other over who is a better player. Meanwhile, the experts are busy identifying budding cricketers who mirror Virat Kohli and Babar Azam.
Former Pakistan skipper Rashid Latif has praised England star Harry Brook for his talent and performances. The 54-year-old also called Brook the next Virat Kohli and Babar Azam.
Brook has had a fantastic 2022. He was a part of the World Cup-winning England squad and also won the player of the series award for his scintillating performance against Pakistan in the Test series.
Brook scored 468 runs in the three-match Test series and was also the top scorer in that tour. The 23-year-old impressed everyone with his performance, in particular Rashid Latif.
Latif called Brook the next big thing in international cricket and stated that he has the potential to be the next Virat Kohli or Babar Azam.
“Brook has been outstanding. He became one of the most expensive buys in IPL and could be the next Babar Azam or Virat Kohli.”
Earlier, after the conclusion of the Pakistan tour, Test skipper Ben Stokes also compared Brook with Virat Kohli. “It is a long shot, but Brook has a similar technique as Virat Kohli, and it is simple and works everywhere.”
