David Warner has confirmed that he will retire from Test cricket after the home season.

David Warner has confirmed that he will retire from Test cricket after the home season. Warner hasn’t been in form but was allowed to represent Australia in the WTC Final against India and the Ashes 2023.

Warner said that if he scores runs against India and in Ashes, he will play the series against Pakistan and retire.

‘I will hang my boots in the home series against Pakistan. If I can score runs against India here and in the Ashes, I won’t be playing the West Indies series,” he said.

“If I can go through against India and England and make up the Pakistan games, I will finish up then,” said Warner, as quoted by The AGE. Warner also confirmed that he will retire from limited overs cricket following the T20 World Cup in 2024

“I have always said the 2024 T20 World Cup would be my last.”
