England have been left with a daunting task of regaining the Women’s Ashes after Australia defeated the hosts in one-off Test.

Resuming on 116 for five in need of 268 on a final day, England managed 178 all-out inside 90 minutes despite a well compiled 54 from Danni Wyatt.

Ashleigh Gardner took eight wickets in the second innings. She claimed 4 wickets in the first as Australia registered an 89-run victory to collect four points ahead of the ODIs and T20Is.

If England want to lift the urn for the first time since 2015, they will have to win five of the six white-ball matches against the visitors.
