Anushka Sharma, the wife of Virat Kohli, lauded the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team for its winning start to the IPL 2023 season. RCB played Mumbai Indians (MI) in Bangalore on Sunday, April 2, and won by 171/7. Tilak Varma of MI scored an outstanding 84, but that was not enough to stop RCB champion Virat Kohli, who led his team to victory with an unbeaten 82 in just 17 overs.
Anushka Sharma shared a behind-the-scenes video of RCB on her official Instagram handle, where she wrote, “A finer team you’ll never see” and praised RCB for their outstanding performance. The match was also RCB’s first game at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in almost four years, and they gave their fans a special homecoming with their stunning victory over MI.
During the post-match presentation, CHe praised MI’s Tilak Varma for his impressive performance and said, “Homecoming after four years, I do not think we could have asked for a better game. I think we were pretty even throughout the game. We bowled really well till the 18th over. The ball got away from us only in the last couple of overs, but I have to commend them; Tilak, in particular, I think batted really well.”
RCB has been one of the most consistent teams in the IPL, but they are yet to win a trophy. However, their first game in IPL 2023 has already shown their fans what they can create this season.
