Former India cricketer and one of the leading commentators, Aakash Chopra, has given a befitting reply to PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja, who had earlier stated about ending the monopoly of the Indian Premier League.

Aakash said no matter what other T20 leagues add to their resumes, IPL will continue its top billing across the globe.

“No matter which country gets draft or auction or pay more money, even then IPL will be the best league in the world, because of yes, of course, Indian players and money are one of the reasons, but the main reason is the audience, 1.3 Billion plus people in India,” he said on YouTube channel.

Ramiz had advocated adopting an auction model to make Pakistan Super League more appealing to overseas players.

“I want to start the auction process from next season. I will discuss the idea with the franchise owners to make our T20 tournament more appealing to the players. Then we will see who prefers IPL over PSL.”
