The news of former Afghanistan skipper Mohammad Nabi’s demise went viral on social media on Friday, with many stating that he passed away due to a heart attack. However, Nabi took to twitter to quash the rumors.
Only a few hours before this news started to spread, the governing body of Afghanistan cricket had shared pictures of the practice session where Nabi was seen going through regular routine.
Alhamdulillah I am all good, a news disseminated by some media outlets about my demise is FAKE. Thank you,” Nabi tweeted to end the rumors.
The all-rounder has represented Afghanistan in 121 ODIs, scoring 14 half-centuries. He has accumulated a total of 2699 runs and 128 wickets.
He recently retired from Test cricket after playing against Bangladesh. Nabi will be next seen in the T20I series against the Windies.
