Rohit Sharma’s world record total had come against Sri Lanka in 2014. The right hand batsman started off slowly but he turned the tables after setting his eyes in. His knock was laced with 33 fours and 9 sixes and riding on his 264 runs off 173 balls, India won the game by 153 runs.
Rohit played in the first T20 against Australia but was dismissed cheaply. Men in Blue went on to lose that game. He was replaced by Shikhar Dhawan for the second game, which resulted in another defeat for the hosts.
The Indian vice-captain is now all set to take on the Aussies in the five-match ODI series.
