KL Rahul will look to kickstart his Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 campaign after misfiring in Lucknow Super Giants’ first two matches this season. Rahul has been IPL’s top run-scorer since the 2018 edition and has 28 runs from two games so far. However, Rahul can turn the screw on Friday when his side takes on Sunrisers Hyderabad at home. 

Rahul, who has spanked 3917 IPL runs at a stellar 47.19, can breach the 4000-run mark. He can become the 14th player in IPL history to achieve this feat. Rahul, who has smashed four tons and 31 fifties, needs 83 more to touch the 4000-run mark. He has enjoyed batting against SRH, scoring 393 runs at 39.30 from 11 matches. He has four fifties versus SRH.

In T20s, Rahul has smacked 6820 runs at 42.36, managing six tons and 59 fifties. He is in line to surpass former legends Shaun Marsh (6869) and Dwayne Bravo (6896) regarding runs. Rahul, who has 35 scores of 50-plus in the IPL, can equal Gautam Gambhir’s tally of 36 and become the joint-eighth highest in terms of 50-plus IPL scores.

Rahul has 47 dismissals in the IPL as a keeper and is three shy of the 50 mark. He can become the 11th player to claim 50–plus dismissals (catches + stumpings) in the IPL.

Mayers can get to 2000 T20 runs

Mayers is now just 13 runs short of 2000 T20 runs. Mayers has three half-centuries in his last six innings across formats.

350 T20 sixes for Quinton de Kock

After missing the first two games, South African batter Quinton de Kock will be back for LSG. De Kock is a celebrated personality in the format and will be keen to showcase his power. In 304 matches in the 20-over format, De Kock has amassed 8889 runs at 32.92. He has six tons and 56 fifties. De Kock, who has 341 sixes, needs a tally of nine to reach the mark of 350. In the IPL, De Kock has 2764 runs, and he can surpass Shreyas Iyer (2776).

Markram eyes these boundary milestones

Aiden Markram will be back after missing SRH’s first game. SRH’s new skipper has been prolific of late in the 20-over format. Markram is searching for a new milestone in his career and can achieve the same versus LSG. He has smashed 249 fours and 99 sixes. On Friday, he can get past 250 fours and 100 sixes. In the IPL, he has scored 527 runs at 40.54.

1000 runs for Pooran in the IPL

LSG batter Nicholas Pooran has previously represented Punjab Kings and had a one-year stint with SRH last season. Pooran, who has been impressive in LSG colours this year, needs 20 more runs to breach the 1000-run mark. He has smashed 980 IPL runs at 26.49. He is also set to appear in his 50th IPL match.

Harry Brook eyes 2500 runs in T20 cricket

England batter Harry Brook was a marquee signing for SRH in the IPL 2023 mini-auction. Brook, an aggressive figure with the bat, scored 13 runs for SRH in their opening clash. Brook owns 2445 runs from 100 matches at an average of 33.49. He is 55 runs shy of the 2500-run mark. Meanwhile, Brook also needs two fours to reach a mark of 200 in the 20-over format (198).
