Rahul has been IPL’s top run-scorer since the 2018 edition and has 28 runs from two games so far. However, Rahul can turn the screw on Friday when his side takes on Sunrisers Hyderabad at home.
Rahul, who has spanked 3917 IPL runs at a stellar 47.19, can breach the 4000-run mark. He can become the 14th player in IPL history to achieve this feat. Rahul, who has smashed four tons and 31 fifties, needs 83 more to touch the 4000-run mark. He has enjoyed batting against SRH, scoring 393 runs at 39.30 from 11 matches. Aiden Markram will be back after missing SRH’s first game. SRH’s new skipper has been prolific of late in the 20-over format. Markram is searching for a new milestone in his career and can achieve the same versus LSG. He has smashed 249 fours and 99 sixes. On Friday, he can get past 250 fours and 100 sixes. In the IPL, he has scored 527 runs at 40.54.
1000 runs for Pooran in the IPL
LSG batter Nicholas Pooran has previously represented Punjab Kings and had a one-year stint with SRH last season. England batter Harry Brook was a marquee signing for SRH in the IPL 2023 mini-auction. Brook, an aggressive figure with the bat, scored 13 runs for SRH in their opening clash. Brook owns 2445 runs from 100 matches at an average of 33.49. He is 55 runs shy of the 2500-run mark. Meanwhile, Brook also needs two fours to reach a mark of 200 in the 20-over format (198).
