Indian Air Force wing commander Abhinandan Varthaman is returning to his country after Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan confirmed his release from their custody. He was arrested by the Pakistan Army after his jet was shot down in the neighboring country.

Abhinandan’s release order was welcomed by Indians, who thanked the government of Pakistan for their peace gesture.

Manpreet Singh Gony, who had represented Indian in ODIs, took to Twitter to show his support for the IAF pilot and requested the Pakistan army to return the Indian Air Force wing commander and take away Indian new anchors in a swap deal.

He further wrote that the army in Pakistan is free to do anything with the anchors.

“Dear Pakistani army, return Wing Commander Abhinandan and take our news anchors, pretty much all of them. Do whatever you want to do with them and more importantly never return them to us #JaiHind #AbhinandanVartaman,” Manpreet Singh Gony wrote this on twitter.
