Getting Virat Kohli’s wicket is a big thing in international cricket at the moment. He is world’s no.1 ODI and Test batsman and scoring runs for fun. His hunger for runs makes him an absolute champion. Jofra Archer, who got selected in England’s 15-man squad for World Cup has set his sights on Virat Kohli’s wicket.
Jofra’s raw pace has already impressed quite a few cricket pundits. And he is said to be the next big thing for England. “I’d quite like to get Virat Kohli out because I wasn’t able to in the IPL,” Archer was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
The pace bowler might be inexperienced but he said that he still has one distinct advantage over his counterparts. “I think I probably have a bigger advantage over some of the other guys in our team,We play (these guys) twice a (season) in the IPL, so you know their weaknesses, you know their strengths, you know if they can’t run between the wickets… it gets you an extra bit of inside information.”
He added: “To be honest, I think international cricket is probably the same intensity as the IPL. I think the only thing that changes is the amount of overs (the IPL is a Twenty20 competition).”
