Pakistani wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal has been quite active on social media platforms in recent times. He keeps interacting with his fans. During his latest Q&A session on Twitter, a fan asked Akmal to name the best fast bowler in the world at the moment.

“Currently, who is the best fast bowler of world cricket?” At this, the 38-year-old quickly picked the ace Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah and Australian speedster Mitchell Starc as his favorite fast bowlers across the globe.

Surprisingly, Akmal didn’t include the other Australian star Pat Cummins in the list. Cummins was the leading wicket-taker in Test cricket format last year with 49 wickets in just 10 games. Not only this, but he also emerged as the most expensive overseas player in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 auction process. The pacer was sold to the popular franchise Kolkata Knight Riders for a whopping Rs 15.5 crore.

Coming back to Akmal, the veteran batsman slammed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Misbah-ul-Haq-led selection committee for not considering him in the T20I squad against Bangladesh. Akmal, who has played 53 Tests, 157 ODIs and 58 T20Is so far, last played for his country in the three-match ODI series against West Indies in April 2017.
