There are some players, who despite their great performances in the domestic cricket doesn’t get a chance to play for India. All-rounder Jalaj Saxena is one of them. But he has kept performing day in and day out despite not being considered for the senior team.

Now, he has created history by becoming the first-ever uncapped player to reach the landmark of scoring over 6,000 runs in First-Class cricket while also taking in excess of 300 wickets. The 32-year-old represents Kerala in the domestic circuit. He has joined an elite list of Indian all-rounders like Kapil Dev, Lala Amarnath, and Polly Umrigar with his consistent performances.

Jalaj Saxena has played 113 First-class games and has accumulated 6,044 runs with the bat and taken 305 wickets with the ball in hand. He averages 37 with the bat and 28 with the ball. He has 14 centuries and 17 five-fers to his credit.

Jalaj has also been a part of three Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises. At present, the spinning all-rounder is part of the Delhi Capitals, which is led by Shreyas Iyer in IPL.
