The Men in Blue have been on fire against New Zealand in the ongoing five-match ODI series. They defeated the Kiwis comprehensively in the first two games of the series. India had earlier defeated Australia as well in the three-match ODI series.

Former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin feels Team India will whitewash New Zealand in the ongoing ODI series. “I think 5-0. The way New Zealand are currently playing, I don’t think they will be able to win any match. But nothing is impossible in one day cricket,” Azharuddin told Sports Tak.

He further added, “The Indian team is playing so good that it is compelling New Zealand to make mistakes. We thought New Zealand would put a fight but our team is a few steps ahead of them. We are a better side in terms of batting and bowling…I think there’s a scope for improvement in the fielding department.”

India won the series opener by eight wickets (DLS method) while they defeated the Black Caps in the second ODI by 90 runs. India have won only one bilateral ODI series so far in New Zealand.
