Hardik Pandya is likely to join Team India in New Zealand to take part in the remaining ODIs and the T20I series. The suspension of Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul has been lifted pending the appointment of an

ombudsman. The duo had boasted about their affairs and made sexist remarks on Koffee with Karan leading to public outrage. Pandya issued an apology but it was not accepted by BCCI. They were asked to return back from Australia before the first ODI Down Under. They were suspended for an indefinite period pending inquiry.

The matter was taken to Supreme Court and they decided to hear the case on February 5. After a lot of discussion, COA decided to lift the imposed ban with immediate effect till the matter is heard by an ombudsman. Pandya has not played for India since the Asia Cup last year. He was recalled for the last two Tests against Australia and was expected to play in the ODI series Down Under before the Koffee with Karan controversy landed him in trouble. He is likely to join Team India. KL Rahul could play for India A against England Lions.
