Delhi Capitals

Shikhar Dhawan (9/10)

Once again played the key role for DC with the bat. Played a fine hand of 69 not out from 47 balls. Did not give PBKS any chance in the chase. Hit six fours and two sixes, finding the boundaries. Took the responsibility of guiding DC over the line.

Kagiso Rabada (8/10)

Was near to his best, claiming 3 for 36. Dismissed Prabhsimran Singh, Chris Gayle and Chris Jordan to put PBKS on the backfoot.

Axar Patel (8/10)

Bowled a lovely delivery to clean up Dawid Malan. Was highly economical, giving away on 21 in his four overs.

Prithvi Shaw (7/10)

Got the innings off to a whirlwind start. Cracked three fours and as many sixes in a quick 39 from 22. Was involved in an opening stand of 63 with Shikhar Dhawan.

Shimron Hetmyer (6.5/10)

Came in and smashed two sixes and a four. Remained unbeaten on 16 from 4 as DC romped home in the end.

Avesh Khan (6/10)

Was decent but went for a few more runs than he would have wanted to. Had final analysis of 1 for 39.

Steven Smith (5.5/10)

Looked good during his 24. Played a needless stroke to be dismissed when he could have easily got a 40 not out.

Ishant Sharma (5/10)

Bowled his four overs for 37, but failed to claim a wicket.

Rishabh Pant (4/10)

Was out of 14. Again did not see the team through in a chase.

Lalit Yadav (4/10)

Bowled his three overs for 25. Went wicketless this time.

Marcus Stoinis (4/10)

Gave away only six runs in the only over he bowled.

Punjab Kings

Mayank Agarwal (9.5/10)

Led from the front with a fabulous innings in the absence of regular captain KL Rahul. Even as wickets kept falling all around him, held the innings together with an unbeaten 99 off 58 balls. Smashed eight fours and four sixes to take PBKS to a fighting total.

Was out for 2. Dismissed Rishabh Pant, but went for 21 in his two overs.

Struggled for his 12 off 16. Perished trying to take on Kagiso Rabada.

Chris Gayle (4/10)

Was cleaned up by a fast full toss from Kagiso Rabada for 13.

Deepak Hooda (4/10)

Was run-out for 1 following a terrible mix-up with skipper Mayank Agarwal. Bowled two overs for 11 without taking a wicket.

It was one of the rare days when he could not make an impression. Shikhar Dhawan was particularly severe on him, slog-sweeping him for sixes. Ended up conceding 42 runs in his four overs.
