That’s why the BCCI decided to shift the remaining matches in the UAE, which kickstarted from September 19, 2021, with the defending champions Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings locking horns. Fans are allowed inside venues for the UAE leg, but fans in India are disappointed at missing the opportunity of watching IPL live.

The six remaining matches in the UAE leg are against SRH (Sunrisers Hyderabad), RR (Rajasthan Royals), CSK (Chennai Super Kings), RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore), KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders), and MI (Mumbai Indians). 

Chennai Super Kings

Chennai Super Kings had a disastrous outing in IPL 2020, but they bounced back. In the Indian leg of IPL 2021, CSK occupied the sweet second spot, and they needed three wins in the remaining seven matches to qualify. CSK will be locking horns with MI (Mumbai Indians), RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore), RR (Rajasthan Royals), DC (Delhi Capitals), PBKS (Punjab Kings), KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders), and SRH (Sunrisers Hyderabad). 

If Chennai Super Kings make it to the playoffs, it’ll be for a record eleventh time. 

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Sitting at the third spot, Royal Challengers Bangalore needs a victory of five of the seven remaining matches. The path will not be easy for them in the UAE leg of IPL 2021 as they will lock horns with PBKS (Punjab Kings), SRH (Sunrisers Hyderabad), DC (Delhi Capitals), KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders), CSK (Chennai Super Kings), MI (Mumbai Indians) and RR (Rajasthan Royals). 

Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals, led by Sanju Samson, is occupying the fifth position in the points table. In the seven remaining matches, they need to ensure victory in a minimum of four matches. The teams that they will face are PBKS (Punjab Kings), RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore), CSK (Chennai Super Kings), MI (Mumbai Indians), KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders), DC (Delhi Capitals), and SRH (Sunrisers Hyderabad). 

Rajasthan Royals are not away from playoff qualification, but they are behind the top four. 

Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians have had a shaky start at the beginning, but they have bounced back. Led by Rohit Sharma, Mumbai Indians have already lifted the title five times, and some outstanding cricket by competitors would be required to deny them a spot in the playoffs. They are currently in fourth position and need a total of four wins to confirm a place in the playoffs. Mumbai Indians is scheduled to face CSK (Chennai Super Kings), KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders), DC (Delhi Capitals), RR (Rajasthan Royals), SRH (Sunrisers Hyderabad), RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore), and PBKS (Punjab Kings). 

Punjab Kings

The Punjab Kings have occupied the sixth position on the points table after the Indian leg of IPL 2021. They have to win a minimum of five matches in the six remaining matches to confirm their spot and reach the 14-point mark. The Indian leg hasn’t been ideal for the team, but there are hopes that they will bounce back. They will face RR (Rajasthan Royals), KKR (Kolkata Night Riders), RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore), CSK (Chennai Super Kings), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), and Mumbai Indians (MI). 

SunRisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has one of the most horrible seasons this IPL 2021. They need a miracle to qualify for the top four. They are currently occupying the eighth position in the points table and need to win six matches in the remaining seven matches to confirm their qualification. 

In the UAE leg, they are all set to face DC (Delhi Capitals), PBKS (Punjab Kings), RR (Rajasthan Royals), RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore), MI (Mumbai Indians), CSK (Chennai Super Kings), and KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders). 

Kolkata Knight Riders

Kolkata Knight Riders have to play against RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore), Dc (Delhi Capitals), PBKS (Punjab Kings), SRH (Sunrisers Hyderabad), RR (Rajasthan Royals), MI (Mumbai Indians), and CSK (Chennai Super Kings) in the remaining seven matches. KKR is standing at the seventh position, and the team needs to ensure five wins to secure the top four spot.
