Shubman Gill has become a star player in a span of short time. He has taken his game to another level since India’s ODI series against Sri Lanka.
He was preferred over Ishan Kishan and the young batter has not let Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma down. Gill has struck three hundreds, including a double century in the 50-over format.
The right-handed batter was named the Player of the Series for scoring more than 350 runs against the Black Caps.
Gill has often spoke about the contribution made by his father, who happens to be his coach as well. Dravid spoke to youngster after the game and made an important statement.
The head coach feels Shubman is in safe hands as his father is a hard task master.
“Your dad is a hard task master! If we don’t push you, he will. So you’re in good hands,” he told Shubman Gill.
